The Revolution will not be televised

This was in the Bay area yesterday: Unarmed students being beaten with batons is not a sign that we have freedom in this country it is a sign that you are free as long as you conform to the wishes of a corrupt and dangerous congress/government owned and powered not by the people but by corporations who give nothing and continue to fund their minions in the congress spreading propaganda and continuing to put the middle class into indentured slavery. Revolution comes not from the voiceless poor but from the middle class and Revolution has no political party... this is certainly just the beginning of the class warfare brewing in this country.

Pilates makes life better

Stress can be a bitch stepmother sometimes... I was definitely feeling the stress of life yesterday. I can offer the only advice I know and its taken me years to get here. A glass of wine helps but if you want to rid yourself of the stress of a day a situation or just escape a difficult person. Get out and run or do Pilates do anything physical where the only thing you have to think about is your breathe.

A good friend told me once when I was in the throes of life being beaten down at every turn and it felt like my only defense left was weeping. She said that life's situations and the stress that comes from them are not the main concern, yes things in life get stressful but its your reaction to the things: change your reaction change the situation. Well most times its easier to say that than live it but it helps and so does hitting a punching bag, running hard through the woods and just screaming at the top of your lungs just to get it out.

Pilates does make things better I have noticed and it makes me stronger in a lot of different ways.

Bitter is the new black

I had a realization today while haggling over an overpriced medical bill that magically went to collections and thus is now $400 more than the original amount. My payments although cashed for the last 3 months went un credited to my account and as a special thank you shipped off to the highest bidder=a debt collector charging me 10% on an exaggerated amount. Yayyyy!

SO back to my realization: consider yourself lucky if you have a degree, job with benefits and a career. I have just been reminded that I am 32 broke and in a dead end job with no education (formal) and no benefits. IT makes me feel like one super shiny polished up turd. So if as you read this realize that you have a job, a degree, career you should feel excited...I feel a little like giving up.

One of the best New Year's! I'm thankful for my friends they are the best!

Harder than ever workout!

Tonight we embark on a workout of mass proportions. We are also doubling up since we both missed yesterdays 60 reps of side burpees. In case anyone is interested in doing this workout:

Also, on another note side burpees are the worst they make regular burpees a pleasurable event.

Be a bodyrocker!
