Stumbling on Happiness

This weekend was great I had the best time visiting my friends in Tahoe.
I had the best sleep. I slept next to my friend Brian and I have to say that I have never slept so soundly and with so much calmness and security surrounding me as I fell asleep next to him. He is for lack of better description my "big". We have known each other for years and honestly he is the only person Ive been able to sleep completely through the night in my life. I wish he was ready for someone like me in his life, for that matter I wish we both were ready for that. I have to say that really it is amazing to feel that level of security and feel that comfortable with someone. He would be my ultimate companion but, neither of us are ready for that. I left in the morning feeling as if I had stumbled upon happiness.

Lovefest 2008

These are some photos from lovefest 2008. We danced for about 12 hours to House and techno music. I have to say the street parties in San Francisco are incredible.

I just love mean girls: Here's some dialogue....Luv's it

Regina: Oh my God, I love your skirt! Where did you get it?
Lea Edwards: It was my mom's in the '80s.
Regina: Vintage, so adorable.
Lea Edwards: Thanks.
Regina: [after girl walks away] That is the ugliest fucking skirt I've ever seen.

Cady: Half the people in this room are mad at me, and the other half only like me because they think I pushed somebody in front a bus, so that's not good.

Regina: I know she's kind of socially retarded and weird, but she's my friend... so, just promise me you wont make fun of her!

Karen: If you're from Africa, why are you white?
Gretchen: Oh my God, Karen, you can't just ask people why they're white.

Regina: I gave him everything! I was half a virgin when I met him.
Karen: Do you wanna do something fun? Wanna go to taco bell?
Regina: I can't go to taco bell, I'm on an all-carb diet. GOD Karen you're so stupid!
[Regina leaves, Gretchen follows]
Gretchen: Wait, Regina! Talk to me!
Regina: No one understands me...
Gretchen: I understand you!
[Regina & Gretchen's voices fade out]
Cady: You're not stupid, Karen.
Karen: No, I am actually. I'm failing almost everything!
Cady: Well... there must be something you're good at.
Karen: I can stick my whole fist in my mouth! Wanna see?
Cady: No no no... Anything else?
Karen: Well... I'm kinda psychic. I have a fifth sense.
Cady: What do you mean?
Karen: It's like I have ESPN or something. My breasts can always tell when it's going to rain.
Cady: Really? That's amazing.
Karen: Well... they can tell when it's raining.

Yes We Can!

I just want to thank my friends and family and all of those I don't know, who stood up and said no more! Its absolutely amazing, last night I watched as Obama slapped John McCain the people have spoken and we in the most nonviolent but effective way just told the current administration and that we will not go down without a fight. Obama kicked McCain's ass 349 to 149 says it all. It wasn't a win it was a revolution. It was our revolution.

Today is the first day of hope, The road ahead will be difficult it will not be easy to dig our country out of the trench of tyranny, corruption, and deceit that has plagued us this last eight years. As tears welled up in my eyes last night as I watched Obama accept his presidency for us and included us it was the most awe inspiring moment and the most amazing realization that we can change, that our country does care, and that people finally woke up and washed the apathy out of their eyes to see clearly for once. I was in tears talking to my friend Jaime I thought for the first time how I was no longer scared to bring children into this world. I teared up as she told me how amazing she felt rocking her baby to sleep and knowing that her daughter gets to be raised in a world that will no longer be held hostage by hate. Obama didn't just win the presidency he inspired a nation, he inspired us to HOPE.

Today I am so proud to be apart of this country. Thank you for voting!

Now I have to find something else to write about...I guess there is always Enews.

PS I still hate Sarah Palin and think she is the devil incarnate!

The Face of Hope

I woke up this morning and I voted I waited in line in a cold auditorium I was crammed into a small 17x17" area to mark my ballot and voice my approvals and disapproval. I feel filled with hope that this man who has inspired so many Americans to get involved, to engage in the conversation seems to have a chance at winning this election and changing the frightening course that are country has taken.

I am so excited to watch him lead to be the man we have been waiting for to end the war to inspire and lead our country in the right direction. I voted Obama because I want to see the change he can bring to our country and because he is the first politician I have ever been inspired by. He is a true leader and most importantly he uses the tools of diplomacy and not the strong arm of the military to find solutions. He is bringing diplomacy back.

I hope you voted today, because now more than ever the world needs strong leadership that hesitates to use weapons.
